Please be aware of the growing threat and approach of Tropilaelaps with the announcement below from DEFRA.
The Turkish authorities have notified of an outbreak of Tropilaelaps mite in the region of Borçka, which borders Georgia. A declaration has been made which suspends imports from Türkiye of:
a. honeybees;
b. unprocessed apiculture by-products;
c. used beekeeping equipment;
d. apiculture products in honeycomb intended for human consumption.
