Neonicotinoids given approval for use!

The UK government has given emergency approval for the use of a pesticide banned because of the harm it can cause bees, for the fourth year in a row.

Permission to use the neonicotinoid on sugar beet seeds has been needed despite a vow by the industry to find an alternative by the end of 2023.

The Wildlife Trusts said the decision was a “deathblow” for wildlife.

  1. If the ban was enforced I am sure they would find an alternative solution more quickly to their problem.Paying more for ones sugar would not be a bad thing if a lower crop yield was the result of not using this wretched stuff.

A ban should be a ban full stop.

One should look at the way bees are treated in US being transported to the almond crops in USA every year! Much of the crop used to make vegan almond milk!!!

Mistreatment of bees in ‘industrial’ scale farming is appalling..
