Another busy Scolton apiary session on Sunday.

Thanks to everyone who attended especially to new beeks Ryan, Peter and Beka, and to our capable trainers John, Linda, Lesley and Aisha.

The usual inspections found some hives just getting on with being bees, building nicely and bringing in nectar. We also made up a couple of 3 frame nucs to receive queen cells in due course. Other inspections threw up issues including missing queens and suspicious looking queen cells.

On a few occasions evidence in front of us elicited those two well known beekeepers’ responses of, “.. oh it’s probably the weather” and. “…. let’s give it a week shall we?”.
