Starvation risk warning!
Just to advise beekeepers everywhere to check their bees for stores (especially nucs), particularly if you didn’t give yours a full winter feed at the end of last season.
So give your hives a heft and if needed, give them some fondant or candy (not liquid feed!) and recheck regularly!
This is also a good time to treat for Varroa while brood numbers are low.
WBKA Closing date for BBKA March modules
Dear Beekeepers
If you are hoping to use your WBKA membership to take a BBKA module on March 22nd 2025 you should request an entry form from the WBKA Exam Secretary on education@wbka.com by Sunday 2nd February due to Ceri Joyner’s (WBKA Exam Sec.) holiday plans. Your completed application form and fees MUST be with BBKA by February 8th.
