Scottish Beekeepers’ Association, Webinar on Wednesday 1st November on ‘Bees of Tasmania

November Webinar

Our winter monthly webinars continue! These beekeeping webinars are free and open to all, you just need to register your attendance beforehand for access on the night.

We’re delighted to have Andrew Abrahams as our next speaker in this series. On Wednesday the 1st of November at 7.30pm, he will be joining us to talk about ‘The Bees of Tasmania’. Tasmania is home to one of Australia’s only populations of pure Black Bees (Apis mellifera mellifera), their native honey bee.

Today’s apiary meeting is still on!🐝

Just to confirm that today’s (Sunday) apiary meeting will be on today for PBKA members at 2pm.

Due to the weather it is likely to be more of an end of season Q&A session (under cover) to discuss winterising options etc. However, the feeders on some hives will need topping up! So any help on that front would be appreciated.

Many thanks to all those who contacted me to advise their attendance or otherwise!

Best regards

Paul🐝

Weather update on Sunday’s end of season apiary meeting🐝

The weather is looking poor tomorrow with a weather warning in force so hive activity other than topping up feeders likely to be limited. However, as it is the last meeting of the season and rather than cancel it totally, we thought we could do an end of season Q&A session to discuss end of season preps such as feeding, treating, over- wintering etc. In order that we can gauge numbers etc, perhaps you can let us know in the comments section below or email me on pbkaapiarymanager@live.co.uk if you are likely to come along!🐝
